I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
Psalm 122:1
Empty Churches…
Empty churches
and well-filled jails,
Empty churches and mankind fails;
Empty churches and liquor flows,
Empty churches and evil grows;
Empty churches and sin's in style,
Empty churches and youth goes wild;
Empty churches and wasted lives,
Empty churches and Satan thrives.
Empty churches and prayer less hearts,
Empty churches and Christ departs;
Empty churches and homes are sad,
Empty churches and men go mad;
Empty churches and souls are lost;
Empty churches and drunkards die,
Empty churches and orphans cry.
Empty churches and revivals cease,
Empty churches and crimes increase;
Empty churches and gamblers meet,
Empty churches and wrongs defeat;
Empty churches and war clouds roll;
Empty churches and no control;
Empty churches, forsaken pews,
Empty churches and bad, bad news.
Empty churches and nations blight,
Empty churches, O sad, sad sight!
Empty churches, men hate and kill,
Empty churches, and much ill will;
Empty churches, O sad the truth,
Empty churches, defeated youth.
Empty churches, it's bad to tell,
Empty churches, men go to hell.

The Empty Pew...
I am an empty pew.
I vote for the world as against God.
I deny the Bible.
I mock at the preached Word of God.
I rail at Christian fellowship.
I laugh at prayer.
I break the Fourth Commandment;
I am a witness to solemn vows broken.
I advise men to eat, drink and be merry,
for tomorrow we die.
I join my voice with every atheist and
rebel against human and divine law.
I am an empty pew.
I am a grave in the midst of the congregation.
Read my epitaph and be wise.

AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL…
America the Beautiful, or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride; I'm glad they'll never see.
Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty, your house is on the sand.
Our children wander aimlessly
poisoned by cocaine,
Choosing to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstain.
From sea to shining sea, our
Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love and a need to always pray.
So many worldly preachers
tell lies about our Rock,
Saying God is going broke so they can fleece the flock.
We've kept God in our
temples, how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool, and Heaven is His throne.
We've voted in a government
that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges who throw reason out the door,
Too soft to place a killer
in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby before he leaves the womb.
You think that God's not
angry, that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait before His judgment comes?
How are we to face our God,
from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do, but stem this evil tide?
If we who are His children,
will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face and mend our evil way:
Then God will hear from Heaven
and forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land and those who live within.
But, America the
Beautiful, if you don't then you will see,
A sad but Holy God withdraw His hand from Thee.
