Stew Recipe
Ready in … 8 hrs on low heat
Serves … 8-10
Ingredients …
- 2 (10 ounce) cans castle berry barbecued
pork
- 1 (16 ounce) can diced
tomatoes w/ mild chilies
- 2 (10 ounce) cans cooked chicken, drained
- 1 (16 ounce) can whole potatoes sliced
- 1 (16 ounce) can cream-style corn
- 1 (16 ounce) can white corn
kernels, drained
- 1 (16 ounce) can carrots, drained
- 1 (16 ounce) can lima beans, drained
- ½ yellow onion,
chopped
- 1⁄2 cup hickory
flavored barbecue sauce
- ½ cup chicken stock
- 12 oz. v8 vegetable juice
- 12 oz. can of DrPepper
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar
(substitute ½ cup sorghum molasses)
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoon Texas Pete hot sauce (if
desired)
Directions …
- Mix all ingredients together and pour into a large crock
pot. Cook on low heat for 8 hours stirring occasionally.
- This can be cooked on high for 4 hours but you need to
watch it more closely for sticking.
