061218 in honor of my grandpa Woodrow Childs

My Grandpa Woodrow Childs passed from this life
two years ago today on June 12th, 2016 he rejoined
my Granny Ozell Childs in Paradise.
He was born at Ripley, MS on November 4th, 1916.

Grandpa Childs was a Christian. He gave his life to
the Lord in 1936 and was a long time member at
Kossuth Church of Christ.
He and my granny raised 3 boys who became
gospel preachers. One of his favorite songs was,
“Hold to God’s Unchanging Hand.”

Grandpa Childs was a retired farmer and land
owner and served as a Director of Farm Bureau
Insurance Company, Corinth, MS for 40 years.

Grandpa Childs loved his family and friends and
always worked hard and enjoyed his work on the farm.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid coon hunter.

I think about him everyday and look forward to that
day when we will all be together in Heaven…

He is gone … but not forgotten…
by those who loved him the most…

“It is better to be respected than to be rich.
A good name is worth more than silver or gold.”
Proverbs 22:1 ERV
