As the Scriptures say,
“There is no one doing what is right,
    not even one.”
Romans 3:10
All have sinned and are not
good enough to share
God’s divine greatness.

Romans 3:23

We are all dirty with sin.
Even our good works are not pure.
    They are like bloodstained rags.
We are all like dead leaves.
Our sins have carried us away like wind.

Isaiah 64:6

The Jewish leaders continued
to ask him their question.
So he stood up and said,
“Anyone here who has never sinned
should throw the first stone at her.”

John 8:7

There is something that happens
when you are grateful…
You continue to keep receiving
blessings.
So, I will always be grateful.
- Chrissy Metz

None is more impoverished than
the one who has no gratitude.
Gratitude is a currency that we
can mint for ourselves,
and spend without fear of
bankruptcy.

the more present you become.

The Power of Words…

My tongue can cause death or life
Bitterness, anger and often pain
Can cut through like a sharp knife
O cause me to stop… pray… refrain.
Your words held comfort and healing
They even calmed the stormy sea
May I never be so unfeeling
Or use words that cause hurt and misery.
O tame my tongue, grant discipline
When words of anger suddenly spurt…
Forgive, when I commit a verbal sin
May my words help… instead of hurt.
Too late I learn to say ‘I’m sorry’
Harsh words fall like blackened rain
O use my words for Your sweet glory
Let not my expressions be in vain.
Thank You for the art of expression
Keep me sensitive to those I meet
May my tongue learn the blessed lesson
Of speaking life… not death and defeat.

- Hyacinth Santiago

“Their tongue is an arrow that kills.
It lies. A man speaks peace to his
neighbor with his mouth,
but in his heart he plans to trap him.”

Jeremiah 9:8 TLV

A goal without a plan
is just a wish.
- Antoine de Saint-Exupery

We find no real satisfaction
or happiness in life
Without obstacles to conquer
and goals to achieve.
- Maxwell Maltz

If you can react the same way
to winning and losing,
That is a big accomplishment.
That quality is important
Because it stays with you
the rest of your life.
- Chris Evert

Winning is important to me,
but what brings me real joy
Is the experience of being fully
engaged in whatever I’m doing.
- Phil Jackson

The woods speak with
the voice of God.
- George Washington Carver

Learn to become still.
And to take your attention away
from what you don't want,
and all the emotional charge
around it,
and place your attention on
what you wish to experience.
- Michael Beckwith

A wise coach reminded
me recently,
Winning shows your character
and losing shows all your
character.
- Michael Greller

The value of a man
resides in what he gives.
- Albert Einstein

Kindness in words
creates confidence.
Kindness in thinking
creates profoundness.
Kindness in giving
creates love.
- Mao Zedong

You can give
without loving,
But you can never
love without giving.

"Man of Sorrows! what a name
For the Son of God, who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim!
Hallelujah, what a Savior!"
- Philip P. Bliss

Text: Matthew 27:32-56

54 So when the centurion and those with him
who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake
and the things that had happened,
 they feared greatly, saying,
“Truly this was the Son of God!”

The greatest story ever told changed
the world and our eternal destiny forever.
This story of life, love, compassion and
sacrifice but also of evil, betrayal and
treachery is told by my friend and
brother in Christ Glenn Colley in
a story-telling format.

"The Cross"

You've been trying hard to bear
The weight of all your shame
And if there's a God up there
You're sure He forgot your name

When your steps are getting heavy
And hope looks all but lost
Just bring it all to the cross

Who told you grace can't reach
The messed up ones like you?
Has the devil made you believe
The lies he tells are true?

When you're sure that you're the one
Who's wandered too far off
It's not too late
Just come home to the cross

Come and see a Savior's love
That would die to make you new
Nothing you have ever done
Can change what mercy's done for you

And if you ever wonder
If you're worth so great a cost
Look up and see the cross

Everybody's got a list
At least a mile long
Of every scar and every sin
From everywhere that we've gone wrong
But there's reason for rejoicing
And the reason is because
That list was nailed to the cross

He was wounded for your wounds
Pierced for all your sin
By His stripes you are healed
Died so you could rise again
He let the blood and water flow
And did it all to let you know
You're the reason that He went to the cross
Oh, He's calling you to run home to the cross

And if you ever wonder
If you're worth so great a cost
Look up and see the cross
